It's an honor to share what I've been working on with you.

Tragedy struck in the world of my character, MJ. It's late one night, and she starts making a digital zine to cope. She is using my hands. Working on this might be the most fun I've ever had doing anything in my life. Except for maybe that one summer night....

I'm scared. Most of the time. About something. A bank balance after a surprise dental bill. The speed at which we're heading into some horror show of a dystopian future straight out of The Matrix–meets–Hunger Games–meets–The Empire Strikes Back. How long freedom of thought will even be possible for our society or species. How many of us are actually capable of it now?

We need imagine a future that excites us. Where peace is practiced between all neighbors. Where we share in work and in abundance. Where we celebrate our joys together! And, have no need to fear bearing hardship alone. (Maybe you're asking, "But who would buy tickets to those movies. Disaster sells!" And, to that I say, "That's just because we're currently programmed that way!"

This story is basically about how the truth sets us free. How it's the only thing that can. It asks the question, "What if the strength of one girl's heart could take on the patriarchy–and win?"
